a romantic trip from our farmhouse to (always):...... the Wine and Flavour Trail of the Maremma Hills (La Strada del Vino e dei Sapori Colli di Maremma).This route embodies the heart and soul of Maremma itself. Made up of thirteen boroughs of the Province of Grosseto, it is not only one of the major Trails in Italy but also the one that offers the greatest choice and potential from the sea to the hills and to the slopes of Mount Amiata. It is a land is full of history, tradition and local colour; a ray of real, true authenticity;
or (inJuly and August) an unique experience of Palio di Siena (not far from our house). The magic of a tradition hundreds of years old in which the residents live for this moment, having conserved the same rites and atmosphere since the middle ages. Arrive at your arranged accommodation facility and live with us during these fascinating days, seeing through the eyes of true ‘contradaioli’ who will explain the secret hidden traditions that are behind ancient rituals and rites of control.
The contradas combat for supremacy with the same regulations of an ancient unwritten cavalier code embedded in the DNA of the city. Her enchanted atmosphere will no doubt transport you as if by magic into ancient history.
and .... the same tradition is in Castel del Piano in September month (palio delle contrade see picture);
or a visit to garden of Artist Daniel Spoerri In Seggiano (just 2,5 km from the farmhouse). This artist started to establish a sculpture garden in the in Monte Amiata 80 km south from Siena: “Il Giardino di Daniel Spoerri”. It has been opened for the public in 1997 and can hence be visited from Easter until October. By now there are 87 installations by 42 artists in an area of about 16 ha.

Yantra Yoga, or the Yoga of movement, is a Yoga of the Tibetan tradition passed down orally until the instructions were edited into a text by Vairocana, the great 8th century teacher.
The practice of Yantra Yoga rebalances physical energy and helps to relax the body, voice and mind, by means of physical exercises, breathing techniques and mental concentration.
Vajra Dance was taught by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu in the early 1990s. The main aim is to allow practitioners to integrate movement with contemplation. It is meditation in movement, which leads to a deep relaxation and helps to harmonise one's physical and mental energy.
The Vajra Dance is practised on a mandala, which represents symbolically both the individual and also the dimension in which we live, the universe.
