FASSIA ESTATE Fassia was originally an agricultural farm and a holiday place for its Milanese owners who bought it in 1941.  In the last decade, the property opened to the public and it has become an important recreational and cultural centre.  Today - although still preserving its farming origins – it provides various activities, a cultural association and an hospitality organisation.  This unique combination of elements has been faithfully preserved to sustain a truly authentic experience of farmhouse living in harmony with nature and the rural traditions. ACCOMMODATIONS The estate features various parts areas: a central area with a private eighteenth century villa, surrounded by an Italian garden designed by the architect Porcinai, and various buildings.  Here are located the guest accommodations, the estate offices, the restaurant and a range of communal areas. The remaining guests accommodations are situated in farm cottages masterfully restored keeping their original characteristics.  They have private bathrooms with shower or bath, central heating, kitchen or kitchenette with fridge.

Our family-run Bed&Breakfast is situated in the green natural park of Assisi, in Costa di Trex, a small village surrounded by gentle Umbrian hills, just 3 miles from Assisi and 1900 feet above sea level. It is composed of rooms and apartments with every comfort, obtained from the restoration of an old country stone house dating back to the 18th century and refurbished according to the local traditional style. From Gubbio you can reach in 40 minutes the city of Perugia, Assisi, Deruta, Urbino, caves of Frasassi, Trasimeno Lake and the regional park of Mount Cucco 1566 m above sea level and Mount Subasio 1290 m above sea level. 

B&b La Contea

The B&B La Contea will give you the opportunity of living in a 16th century tower house. The house is full of history and it mirrors the different uses and owners of the last 500 years.The tower was built by the noble family Anastagi, as can be seen from the remaining coat of arms on the tower, which had the primary purpose of territory control. During the 18th century the tower became part of a large property of the monks of San Filippo Neri. At the beginning of the 19th century, as a consequence of Napoleon’s laws, the monks were forced to sell the house. The new owners - the Valigi family - kept the tower house in the 19th century and tranformed it into the big farm house we can see today. The family built the big stable and used the upper part of the tower to breed doves. A tobacco dryer was built beside the tower-house in the first half of the 20th century.The Ranucci's family restored the historical house and the park all around in the last 20 years until the opening of B&B La Contea in October 2006.The adjacent Perugia Golf Club offers wonderful views from our windows and special prices to our guests.The house is 15 min. from Perugia and from the Trasimeno Lake (20 km from Assisi, 30 km from Todi, 40 km from Bevagna and Gubbio). The house is located right in the historical center of Città di Castello, in the Rione Mattonata, only two steps away from the high strett and has 6 wide and comfortable rooms furnished with period furniture; wood and wrought iron assembled by the skilful hands of the city artisans. You will be able to enjoy the atmosphere of living in an ancient palazzo with a typical Umbrian ceiling made of chestnut-wood beams and cotto tiles.  The rooms can host up to 12 people, all with indipendent bathrooms. Rooms are available as single or double bedrooms. The structure has recently been restored and has a very easy accessory with elevator.
