Locanda del Viandante

Set in an environmental context and landscape of incomparable beauty, the Locanda del Viadante dominates the heart of the Tuscan Valtiberina. It was once the old
farmstead of Cerreto: a place of history, toil and memories. Now renovated
to offer typical hospitality in true Tuscan style: bedrooms, open fires,
restaurant and farm shop selling typical produce.
Basalto, Gabbro, Serpentinite, Ofiolite and Ranocchiaia: double bedrooms with private bathroom. Third beds available. Upstairs, the five spacious and light-filled rooms all open onto a wide hallway that has kept the ancient characteristics of the
old farmhouse kitchen, including the wide stone hearth.
The rooms are furnished in local traditional furniture, using fine handmade textiles from Anghiari. They have a wonderful view over the Tiber Valley and the Monti Rognosi hills.
Guests are served a breakfast of coffee, milk, tea, fruit juice and seasonal fruit
with bread, biscuits, locally made jam and home made cakes.

The Locanda is spread over five pleasant stone-walled rooms, one of which is also the bar. This is a perfect place for a simple snack, a glass of wine or a coffee. At lunch and supper
the kitchen offers a range of traditional dishes made from fresh local produce.
Listen to the 'Veglie di Cerreto', tales of ancient times, gathered around the old
fireplace and sampling dishes themed to each story.
Our shop offers a wide range of products: from items made by small local craftsmen to wines, salami, honey, jam, pulses, oil, cheeses, biscuits, sweet wine and all that is typical and traditional to this part of our land.
