This charming one hundred year old farmhouse is surrounded by olive and fruit trees, vines, and other exotic vegetation. It offers perfect combination of old and new having been completely modernised in 2006 while retaing its old world charm of anchient beams, cool, white stone steps, old fireplaces and period furniture. As a backdrop there are spendid views of the majestic Majella mountains while the village of Orsogna is only two minutes drive away providing a weekly market and all day necessities. Slightly further afield are the ancient towns of Lanciano and Chieti while the Adriatic is a mere twenty minutes away by car and offers excellent beaches and swimming. There are three spacious rooms to choose from, each with their own bathroom and full of character. The twin bedded room has its own spacious terrace with lovely views to the Majella mountains while the double bedded room and single bedded room have good views of the surrounding gardens. There are play areas outside for children while grown ups can lounge in a hammock or lie in the shade of the olive trees which abound everywhere and which provide home produced olive oil.You can ‘steal’ figs, pears, and plums from the garden, sit by the old well under a bower, explore the kitchen garden while taking in the peace of the countyside punctuated only by bird song and the sound of cicada. If you only fency a walk or a bike ride (bikes available) you can explore the immediate countryside and pick wildberries and aromatic herbs. Food plays a big part in the Zasa experience. The generous breakfasts offer fresh local organic fruit, local ham and cheese, home made cakes and fresh bread. Fresh coffee and delicious fruit juices are served each day. Meanwhile a special feature available to guests is a new-built outside pizza oven and grill where you can cook your own food. Inside there is a library area full of information about the wonders of Abruzzo. There is also a small TV set and dvd player available for the use of guests. A home compueter is also available but internet connection tend to be rather slow! Small pets are welcome and can be provided with night accomodation. 

Above all at Zasa you will be made to feel at home with traditional Abruzzan warmth and hospitality. Whether you want a very quiet or active holiday Zasa is situated perfectly to enjoy both the mountains, the sea and the rolling green hills that link them. Less than an hour from Pescara’s international airport lies a true haven of tranquility in the midst of stunning countryside.

Around the accomodation

b&b Zasa

La piccola cittadina di Orsogna, completamente distrutta dalla II Guerra Mondiale, mantiene ancora intatto il refettorio francescano del convento della SS. Annunziata, risalente allafine del XV secolo. La visita è interessante e gratuita, il convento è immerso nel parco annesso nel quale è possibile fare rilassanti passeggiate.

Gli itinerari possibili da B&B Zasa sono diversi: innanzitutto è possibile fare passeggiate naturalistiche nella campagna, con laguida di Zasa, biologa e botanica.
Per gli amanti del mare, si può facilmente raggiungere Ortona, città degli Aragonesi, con le sue spiagge dorate e la cittadina storica che è interessante visitare.
Guardiagrele è molto vicino dal nostro B&B ed è un paese ricco cultura e tradizione artigiana secolare. Si trova all'interno del Parco Nazionale della Majella.
Lanciano è il centro cittadino più vicino: è la città del Miracolo Eucaristico e vanta ricche tradizioni medioevali.
Chieti è un po' più distante (40 min) ma merita di essere visitata: c'è il Museo archeologico Nazionale con il famoso guerriero di Capestrano e il Duomo gotico con la cripta romanica.
Ci sono poi tantissimi itinerari per i più golosi: a Castelfrentano, patria del famoso bocconotto, dolce tipico farcito al cioccolato; a Ortona, Tollo e S. Vito per gustare il pesce fresco dell'Adriatico; ancora a Tollo per bere l'ottimo vino rosso della cantina; a Guardigrele e ai piedi della Majella la ricca cucina abruzzese a base di carne e piatti saporiti. E tanto altro ancora, per qualsiasi gusto!
