On the Lazio side of the National Park of Abruzzo , in the beautiful Comino valley, Bruco B&B is a old stone built farm house meticulously restored by the owners in 2007. The property consists of 4 apartments of different dimensions, completely independent that can bed 2 to 5 persons. The various rooms are independent but can be united to make a larger unit and upon request can be let to groups up to 14 persons. Two flats have kitchens, one has a kitchenette and the smallest doesn’t have any cooking facilities but has fridge and coffee. Outdoors facilities include a patio with tables and deckchairs that look on the beautiful view of the valley enclosed by the Meta and Mainarde hills at the foot of San Donato Val Comino, on the SW side of the mountains of the National Park of Abruzzo. The garden with a gazebo and barbecue is surrounded by 7 acres of olive groves and oak woods that border the sunny swimming pool (16m x 6m).
Bruco B&B is situated 1 km from San Donato Val di Comino, a typical mountain village with intricate steep streets, stone houses and ancient churches. The friendly and charming inhabitants enjoy the healthy climate and good food of the area. San Donato Val Comino is located 140 km from Rome and 130 km from Naples , it is easily reached using A1 and A14 highways. The owners will be delighted to illustrate the surrounding historical sites.
The climate permits pleasant summer excursions on the mountains and rolling valleys while in the winter the skiing facilities at Forca d'Acero and Pescasseroli have some of the best slopes in central Italy . The park offers many wilde life observations points while day excursions can be organized to the Abbey of Montecassino, Pompei and the sea coast
