An idyllic setting, splendid wiews, a warm welcome and an aura of perfect peace conspire to make CASA MAZZONI one of the most lovely rural retreats in Tuscany.

Our beautiful converted stone farmstead nestles on the edge of glorious wodlands just below one of the peaks of Maremma's highest range of hills and so enjoys breathtaking panoramic views over gently receding green and blue hills to the distant sea alone-on a clear day you can see Elba on the horizon.Roughly whitewashed walls, low beamed cellings,ancient terracotta floors and charming antique furnishing give the seven bedrooms the sort of character which makes CASA MAZZONI a home rather than a hotel.

We have an enthusiastic interest in ,and an eye for, anMealtimes are a convivial affair around a huge table outside the splendid creeper-shaded terrace or,in cooler weather,in the delightful dining room where the stone mangers now hold not hay but an excellent collection of wines: SASSICAIA, BRUNELLO, MORELLINO, NOBILE.

The local vintages are eminently drinkable and we dinners cooked by our chef Giuseppe and Team are delicious.

Breakfast on the terrace is a moment to linger long overs in addition to view,the bread is so crisp, and homemade white and black bread as also croissant and baguette and krapfen as well muffin. Everything homemade from bread til ice cream. The coffee so good, the chestnutshoney so aromatic and the provision of such treats as S. Daniele prosciutto or cheeses so generous.

The view from our pool is a beautiful as from the terrace and it is hard to tear oneself away from this oasis of tranquillity although there is plenty to do and see by foot, bicycle, car or even horseback.
