the sentiero del viandante (path of the viandante) played a fondamental role during the middle ages for the inhabitants of the lario orientale (the eastern part of the country), as it connected the villages abbadia lariana and colico, situated on the very opposite sides of the lake.
as time went by the path was replaced by more convenient routes and became obsolete.
to restore it to its former status and due to its potential for attracting visitors to the region, the lecco tourism board has transformed it into a charming trekking trail.
the b&b del viandante is situated on this very trail from which it takes its name, approximately 3 km above the idyllic village of bellano, on a gentle hill with exceptional views over the lake and the mountains, in total peace and tranquillity. the b&b is in an ideal location, given its equidistance between the start and finish of the trail.
this location can be enjoyed year-round, whether for trekking, mountain-biking or winter sports given its proximity to ski resorts (30 minutes by car).
in addition of course, there is the lake itself which offers water sports or the chance to relax and sunbathe.
furthermore, there are cultural events, culinary feasts and antique markets throughout the year.
