Castel d’Asso Terme bed and breakfast is situated in the quiet countryside of Viterbo ideally positioned for reaching the town centre of Viterbo, the Etruscan necropolis of Castel d’Asso and the Terme dei Papi spa, a famous thermal treatment centre where still nowadays you can breathe the mysterious and fascinating Etruscan history.
The Etruscans were the ones who discovered the benefits of the hot water spring that they believed was a gift from the gods.
The thermo mineral sources of this historical spa of Viterbo are without any doubt one of the most precious and biggest in Italy.

Our bed and breakfast is the ideal place for relaxing, for starting excursions in the countryside and to visit quaint local villages. It is conveniently located to go trekking or cycling to the nearby archaeological sites, the castle and the built in the rock necropolis, the beautiful town of Viterbo where many emperors, popes and artists made the history of this area.
The name of the bed and breakfast, Castel d’Asso, comes from the nearby Etruscan necropolis famous for being the first to be discovered in 1817.
It is an amazing site with tombs on two or three levels variously cut out from the rock, it also has the highest number of tombs compared to other archaeological sites.
