The charming “Residenza del Cardinale” lies 500 m. above sea level, is located in a small natural country village. The ancient hamlet of Vaiano, was situated, in Roman times, along one of the most important road to Rome. It is named after an old ecclesiastic residence, before the magnificently restoration made by the actual owners Francesco and Maria Cristina Cardinale. The first floor, completely dedicated to the guests, is extremely well-appointed with just 3 confortable and elegant double rooms, two bathrooms, 1 living room with fireplace and 1 dining room, furnished with antics local pieces and magnific curtains, hand-made by Maria Cristina. The continental breakfast, served, in winter, close to a warm fireplace, consist in local natural products ( cake, jam, fruits, milk, natural honey etc.). Position, nice weather, vegetation, history, nearby termal spas and sports ( riding, tennis, fishing etc. close by ) gives you a unique opportunity to explore this part of Italy, rich of ancient Cities, full of artistic monuments and museums. Situated in Northern Lazio between Orvieto and Viterbo, easily accessible from both the main railway line and the A1 highway Rome-Florence, la “Residenza del Cardinale” is also well positioned for day excursions to Rome, Siena, Todi, Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Arezzo, Tarquinia and other major Etruscan sities. The owners are kindly avaiables to plan with you some personal excursions based on your own attitude (arts, wine and food, sports etc. ).
