Vacation in a country house in the Alto Lazio region Our country house "Podere Porcino" lies amid rolling hills between Orvieto and Lago di Bolsena where the historic regions of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio meet. Each of our three lovingly renovated apartments has two rooms plus kitchen and bath and can accommodate up to three persons. There is also a large room (50 square meters) with hardwood floors, used for gymnastics. "Podere Porcino" is an oasis of quiet and relaxation surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and an enchanting landscape -- a unique escape from daily cares. Luxuriate in a pergola (with grill) or on the sunny lawn at your doorstep. Possibilities abound for the more active vacationer: thermal springs at nearby Viterbo, paths for hiking and bicycling, and excursions to picturesque medieval towns and villages as well as Etruscan archaeological sites. Orvieto, Viterbo, Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Rome -- all are within easy reach. We are a bilingual German/Italian family who manage a local stage-theater. We are also involved in organizing various other artistic events. I am a gymnastics instructor trained in Germany (at Dore Jacobs School, Essen) and offer a full exercise program. I will gladly help in planning your excursions.
