Borgo di Fulignano is a representative agricultural hamlet of fully renovated medieval buildings located on a hilltop in the proximity of Vico d'Elsa, Barberino Township. Its rustic charm has been maintained with modern conveniences. The hamlet enjoys beautiful, 360 degree views of the Tuscan countryside including the surrounding vineyards, sunflower fields and the towers of San Gimignano. The environs are particularly inviting for both relaxing walks and painting/drawing. It is convenienctly located between Siena and Florence and within approximately one-hour drives to other important destinations including Pisa, Arezzo, Lucca, the hilltop towns of Siena Province (Montalcino, Montepulciano and Pienza) and the Versilian seacoast. Eight charming apartments have been designed to accommodate between 4 and 7 people; all apartments include new beds and bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens and washing machines; barbecues are also available. In the center of the Borgo is a charming square (piazzetta) which lends itself to meeting other guests. A 15 by 7 meter swimming pool, with enclosed childrens' area, is available to guests in the landscaped olive grove below the hamlet. The village of Vico d'Elsa, a five-minute walk from the Borgo, provides all services including marketing, post office, pub and restaurant.
