Il Pozzeto is situated at an altitude of 500 metres between Arezzo, Cortona and Sansepolcro on the Anghiari's hills. It is the result of an architectural building of the 17th century restoration, which has been used by Franciscan Pilgrims as a place of heritage for ages. The building is only 7 Km. far from Anghiari, which is a beautiful medieval village in the heart of the land where the Arno and Tevere rivers flow. Its potent boundary wall built during the 13th century made of it an inviolable bastion, which became a significant point of reference for the historical events, keeping the flag of Tuscany flying in a borderland which was precariously balanced. On June 29, 1944 the well-known "Anghiari's battle" reaffirmed the Florentine hegemony on Tuscany. You can admire the fresco of the battle by Leonardo Da Vinci inside Palazzo Vecchio. Il Pozzeto is made up of two Units; the main one has 8 comfortable apartments from 2 to 6 beds. They are furnished in a perfect Tuscan country-style and all have a bath and a shower,a living room, a kitchenette with gas rings, a fridge, a television and the heating. In the other Unit there is a big room where you can have breakfast. A characteristic barbecue is situated on a big field and closed to it, there is a swimming pool with a panoramic view, which overlooks the splendid Valtiberina. Who spends time in this peaceful place with its unique location is able to forget the stress of daily life feeling the beauty of the uncontaminated nature. The Staff will be always very well-disposed towards you, in order to satisfy any of your requests and make your stay even more comfortable. IL POZZETO, a wonderful residence, result of the refurbishment of an original architectural work dating back to the seventeenth century, for years a refuge for pilgrims. From Anghiari, you will follow seven kilometers of country road, 3 of which are gravel, to reach Il Pozzetto. The flats, from two to six beds, furnished in perfect Tuscan country style, all include bathrooms with showers, a cooking corner with electric plates, refrigerator, TV and heating. A characteristic lounge with a fireplace is available for all the guests in the residence. On a splendid terrace with a view, a swimming pool and barbecue grills ensure sweet moments of relaxation and fun. Lunch or dinner arrangements can be made with a request one day in advance with the Residence staff. Agriturismo Val Della Pieve

  Welcome to Anghiari! Our intention was to create a Farmhouse good enough for everybody, where the owners are always present and where you will have the opportunity to breath and live in the middle of the nature, near by one of the most beautiful village of Italy. The farm is developed in 25 hectares of our Tuscan countryside, in the middle of maize, wheat and sunflowers farming and surrounded by a magnificent vineyard. The little woodland next to the Farmhouse is the ideal natural shelter for wild boars, hares, squirrels, pheasants and hawks. Handed from generation in generation, rural experience gave us the possibility to recreate a suitable typical place for fruit and vegetables production (thanks to our orchard and kitchen garden) and hen, goose and duck breeding program, held free to stay around our little lake. Even thinking about energy, we wanted to respect our environment: that’ s why our heating service is based on a firewood boiler (using every year the woods from our woodland). Our little Farmhouse (maximum 10 beds) is the right place for a peaceful stay, offering you the best conditions and providing you the perfect place to relax, go fishing to the lake or swimming in the swimming pool. Come to live our traditions looking while we pick and squeeze olive and make an excellent olive oil, following the oldest rules. “Val della Pieve” takes his name from an ancient Romanesque Pieve, and is situated just outside the historical village of Anghiari, known all over the world thanks to the famous Battle painted by Leonardo Da Vinci and recalled every 29th June in the “Palio of the Victory”. Public transport’ s easy access allows you to visit the most beautiful treasures of this valley: starting with Piero della Francesca and his painting “Madonna del Parto” in Monterchi and other works in Sansepolcro’ s picture-gallery, arriving in Caprese an visiting Michelangelo’ s house. In approximately 1 hour you can reach by car the most beautiful cities in Tuscany, Umbria and Emilia-Romagna, like: FLORENCE, AREZZO, SIENA, PIENZA, MONTEPULCIANO, SAN GIMIGNANO, PERUGIA, URBINO, GUBBIO, SAN MARINO…and for a religious tourism don’ t forget to visit ASSISI, CAMALDOLI and LA VERNA.   ...
