Agriturismo Tenuta Regina is sited in Friuli Venezia Giulia, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy, still not very notorious abroad but worthy to be explored. The region is in the North-East of Italy, where the Venetian and the Austro-Ungaric tradition are closely connected creating a special and fashinating mixture.Our resort, in particular, gets most of its appeal from the position: it is very close to the Adriatic coast, in the heart of a flat land, that through salty canals and colored fields leads to the sea. The Natural Reserve of the Marano Lagoon is all around and offers the visitor a naturalistic spectacle, performed by its landscapes and by its birds (it’s a birdwatcher’s paradise). Boat trips on the Lagoon are an exciting experience both for adults and children. Our guests should also profit from the nearness of many interesting cities, first of all Venice, which can be reached in one hour by car or by train. Trieste, the main city of the region, is only 65 km far from our resort: it offers a roman theater, a big square with a fantastic view to the sea and a beautiful castle, witness of the recent asburgic past. Other nearby cities are: Udine, with its typical “osterie” (small taverns, where you can taste typical dishes and wines), Aquileia, rich in remains of the Ancient Rome, Cividale, famous for having been the capital of the Longobard Reign. They are all less than 50 km far from our Agriturismo and so are the most renowned beaches of the Adriatic coast: Lignano (22 km), Bibione (28 km) and Grado (40 km). We also advice our guests to make a tour on the Collio hills, entirely covered by wineyards, producing many excellent and worldwide prize whitewines. ...
