In the Val d’Orcia Artistic, Cultural and Natural Park, right in front of Pienza, rises a gentle hill called Lucignanello, where an ancient farmhouse is situated, at 470 meters above the sea level, ever since the Middle Ages. Our family has chosen to work in the countryside using the organic farming since over twenty years. We live in Val D’Orcia, the land of clays and gullies. A few steps away from the beautiful Pienza, our house is a typical Tuscan casolare surrounded by olive trees and ancient oaks.In this particular environment we try to share with our guests the taste for silence, simplicity and the sweetness of the country life, in terms of quality and rhythms. Inside the house, natural and traditional materials have been preserved: stone, terracotta, and wood. The principles of ecological design have been followed in the renovation of the house, and non-toxic water paints have been used for the furniture, the raftered ceilings and all the wooden items.We can also hosting different courses : photography, painting, drawing, music.
