B&B ART is located in an ancient palace which was recently restored in San Casciano Val di Pesa. It is conveniently situated in the heart of the Chianti region, within easy reach of the most important tourist sites of Tuscany. It is close to Florence, which is only 15 kilometres away.  The palace was built during the 14th century adjacent to the walls which surround the Medieval city of San Casciano Val di Pesa. It was originally a hospital for the neighbouring Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria del Gesù. For several centuries it accommodated monastery guests and pilgrims. Subsequently it became a popular public guesthouse until the Second World War when it was partially destroyed by bombing. Today the palace houses the elegant and refined B&B ART.B&B ART takes its name from the precious contemporary art collection housed in the palace. The comfortable double rooms and the suites, each one unique, are distinguished by the typical wood-beam ceilings and by the terracotta tiled floors. Casa Vacanze Le Rose

WHO WE AREWe, the family  Nesi, founded the small agricultural farm Le Rose in the late ‘80s, a stone’s throw away from the historical Villa Le Rose. The history of our farm is very young compared to its neighbors, but it doesn’t lower its value nor does it make it less genuine. Massimiliano, the only son of Guido and Simonetta Nesi, now heads the 3-hectare farm. Due to his ambitious plans and foresight, he planted an addictional 600 olive trees to the existing 400, increasing Le Rose’s production of olive oil to 700 lt. A year! In 2001, we also began construction on a 4-apartment complex within the premises. One apartment was to be the new home of Massimiliano and his wife Sara, and the others, to ren out to tourists. We thought this would be a perfect way of meeting people from all over the world whilst sharing the natural beauty and amazing landscape of our region. Recently, we also began planting fruit trees ( peach, pear, cherry, etc.) to add to the color and variety of the farm. At Le Rose, we promise you a relaxing stay abundant with nature and culture. And because of our excellent location, the triangle of Florence, Siena and Arezzo, the most famous of the historical towns in Tuscany, are all within easy reach. But one need not even go far because the Chianti has already so much to offer with its rolling hills dotted with ancient castles and quaint little towns. All this untainted beauty is right at your doorstep to take in and enjoy.The 97sq.m. apartment Nonna Bruna ( Granma Bruna) is found on the round floor with an independent entrance. It is bright and spacious and its floors are made of cotto, the terracotta tiles typical of tuscan homes. It has a big living room with sofa- bed and it opens out into a terrace with garden chairs and table. There are 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms in elegant ceramic tiles and a rustic kitchen designed and built by Guido’s own hands.
