Demetra is a working farm set within 12 hectares of private ground, including 2 hectares of forest and 10 of cultivable soil where everything is grown according to organic methods. On the farm we grow vegetables, grapes, cereals (spelt, common and durum wheat), legumes (chick peas, cicerchia, lentils), and we also have fruit trees and olive trees. Our produce is either sold on the local market, or used for home baking, be it bread or cakes. We have a variety of animals, including sheep, ducks, hens, and one donkey. We also keep a few bee-hives where all our honey is produced. Our accommodation offers a three-bedroom flat, each room with en-suite bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wide range of cooking facilities. All cleaning products used on the farm are eco-friendly, and during the summer hot water is produced using solar power. In the back garden our guests can enjoy a DIY BBQ and a wood-burning stove. We have small tables under the trees, a hammock and a playground (children and families are welcome!). Visitors can rent mountain-bikes from us, and we are happy to organize day-trips with park guides. ...
