The Aque Albule springs are a group of springs that rise at a temperature of about 24° C. They are rich in minerals (in particulars sulphur and carbonate of lime) that make these waters smell. These spas were famous since Romans times. The Romans built there a thermal establishment, known as "Baths of Agrippa", the name of the emperor's architech (the ruins of these baths are still visible).
Today Aque Albule waters are still used in treating bone diseases, and for bathing, while their vapors are used in inhalation therapies.
