It is composed of one main valley (the Ossola proper) and seven side valleys: Anzasca, Antrona, Bognanco, Divedro, Antigorio-Formazza, Isorno and Vigezzo. It also includes parts of the Val Grande National Park, Italy’s largest wilderness area.
